Welcome. Public Safety Education & Training (PSET) is located at the Ben Clark Training Center (BCTC).
The mission of Public Safety Education and Training (PSET) is to provide an educational pathway for sworn and correctional officers, emergency medical technicians, paramedics, and fire personnel, as well as students interested in pursuing careers in law, fire, homeland security and emergency medical services to complete an educational program, certificate, or associate’s degree for career advancement in public safety education. PSET also serves a corollary role to provide supportive leadership in student services.
Responsive to the educational needs of its region, the Public Safety Education and Training program seeks to meet the workforce needs of public safety personnel in the Inland Empire region. The program offers academic programs and support services for students which include certificate, associate degree, and baccalaureate transfer programs for all who can benefit from them. Advanced officer and continuing education courses in law, fire, and homeland security provide learning opportunities and advancement for individuals working in the public safety field.

About Ben Clark Training Center
Welcome to Moreno Valley College’s unique and vital training opportunities at the Ben Clark Public Safety Training Center (BCTC). MVC offers one of the largest public safety training curricula in Southern California. Each year, the college prepares hundreds of students to work as law enforcement officers, firefighters, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, correctional officers, and dispatchers.
The Ben Clark Public Safety Training Center is a regional training site that provides basic and advanced training to public safety personnel. It is comprised of a partnership with Moreno Valley College, Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, California Department of Forestry & Fire Protection, Riverside County Fire Department, California Highway Patrol, and Riverside County Probation Department. Moreno Valley College at BCTC provides subject area and general education courses leading to certificates and degrees in public safety education and training, as well as emergency medical services.
