CTE Counselors offer specialized services needed for success at Moreno Valley College and beyond, from assessing student skills to identifying career goals and selecting appropriate classes. In addition, counselors assist with long-range planning and verification of specific requirements so students meet graduation requirements, course prerequisites and requirements for Certificate Programs, Associate Degrees and/or transfer to four-year colleges or universities.
What to expect during a CTE Appointment
Counselors offer new, continuing and returning students individual 1 hour face-to-face appointments to:
- Assist students in clarifying career goals
- Assist students in preparing a Student Educational Plan
- Provide students with unofficial progress checks for degree/certificate
- Schedule a follow-up meeting

All counseling and advising appointments are currently conducted online through Zoom, a free online meeting service. You do not need a Zoom account to make an appointment to see a counselor online. A meeting link will be generated for you.
