The Law Enforcement Pre Academy is a Learning Community & you must be enrolled in both courses in order to complete the course:

  • Guidance-48A and Administration of Justice-A33E
  • Location: Ben Clark Public Safety Training Center located at: 16791 Davis Avenue, Riverside, CA 92518 in modular classroom 20732-F (building #11)

Pre-Academy

  • GUI-48A: 02/23/17 – 06/08/17 (17Spr) Mondays: 5:00 pm to 6:05 pm
  • ADJ-B2A: 02/23/17 – 06/08/17 (17Spr) Mondays: 6:15 pm to 9:50 pm

The Law Enforcement Pre-Academy is preparation course designed for the Basic, Modular and Correctional Deputy Academies. It focuses on Law Enforcement topics such as Report Writing, Cultural Diversity, Leadership, Professionalism & Ethics, Criminal Justice System, and an overview of the background investigation process. Guidance-48A assists students in obtaining study skills necessary to reach educational and career goals; topics include time management, test taking and study techniques. Supplemental instruction to include online SkillsTutor Language Arts and Information Skills lessons and testing.

The college fees for the class are $171.00 (if you have the BOG-Waiver [financial aid], you pay $18.00 for the Student Health Fee & $15.00 for the Student Services Fee) payable via WebAdvisor. (+ the cost of books)

Requirements: Must submit Intake form, meet with counselor, attend program information session, and apply for Moreno Valley College following application procedures.
